Into Being--- Two-Way Boat Top — Cut + Sewn Edition
A piece designed to offer two looks in one—this two-way crop top invites reorientation, perspective, and play. Meant to be worn with either side facing forward, it offers a quiet invitation to choose your silhouette each day—soft higher neck drape in front or open back reveal-- or lower cut in front with higher back.
 
Each piece is cut and sewn from scratch using Onerary original patterns -with reclaimed lightweight nylon-rayon blend of a rich plum color, dip-dyed and hand-embellished to echo abstractness—faint gestures, marks, and movement. The hand pulled screen printed figure -in water based metalic gold textile ink- from an original painting, emerging from the fabric--- subtle, glinting, dreamlike.
 
Finished with crisp black bias tape for structure and contrast, the piece is inspired by Danielle’s mother’s wardrobe in the 1970s—with air, versatile and ease. A garment to layer or wear alone. -- As light changes, the fabric’s tone transforms—becoming more luminous and reflective depending on the angle and time of day.
